Distance Services

Do you live more than 30 miles from Marylhurst and from the nearest Summit member institution?

Do you visit our campus less than once a week?

Are you currently enrolled or teaching at Marylhurst?

If you answered yes to all of the above, we will provide distance services to you.

Shipping Materials

Materials from Shoen Library are shipped through the US Mail at library rate; they may take several days to arrive. Media are shipped via First Class mail. You will need to return materials by the due dates, and you are responsible for the return shipping costs. Please contact our Access Services Manager to place a shipment request.

Electronic Copies

We can make electronic copies of articles from the print collection and forward them via email. We will also forward electronic copies of articles obtained through interlibrary loan. Please contact a reference librarian at reference@marylhurst.edu for more information.

What cannot be shipped?

Unfortunately, Summit and interlibrary loan materials cannot be shipped. We encourage you to work with your local libraries to find materials that aren't available through Shoen Library.

Reserves may be shipped only by instructor's consent. We encourage you to talk with your instructor to find alternative resources.
