Classrooms

What is available:

The majority of classrooms at Marylhurst are technology-enabled. Each classroom is equipped with a lectern computer, document reader, and digital projector/display. There are also provisions to allow the connection of a personal laptop to the projection system. Additionally, we have a number of classrooms in our education wing with interactive whiteboards or "Smart Boards" installed. DVD playback is accomplished through software installed onto the computer and a small number of classrooms have VHS players as well. If you are still making use of VHS cassettes in your lecture, we strongly encourage you to contact Shoen Library as they may be able to assist you in locating your title in a more modern format.

How do I use the equipment?

While technical in nature, the classrooms have been designed to be very simple to operate akin to what one might have in their own home. A laminated quick guide is available in all of the classrooms and ITS Help Desk staff are available during all hours of class time to assist. If you would prefer a one to one training, that can also be arranged by contacting us in advance.
