The Religious Studies Graduate Department offers programs in applied theology, divinity and ministry.
Courses in the master's programs are offered primarily on weekends: Friday evenings, Saturdays during daylight hours and Sunday afternoons, to accomodate your work, spiritual practice and worship schedules.
The Master of Arts in Applied Theology is a good choice for those seeking careers in which they can do practical theology, such as spiritual directors and teachers, or chaplains in a medical, governmental or corporate setting.
The Master of Divinity helps prepare individuals for similar careers, as well as for ordination. Students meet the requirements of their congregation while taking classes in the Master of Divinity program. Graduates may choose to pursue a Doctorate of Ministry.
The Doctor of Ministry is an advanced professional degree for persons in ministry. This program is offered through a cooperative agreement with San Francisco Theological Seminary.
Graduates of the Applied Theology program may choose to complete the Certificate of Theological Studies to fulfill the prerequisites of the Doctor of Ministry.
