Testing
The Learning Assessment Center administers writing and math assessment testing, credit by examination and non-credit outcome assessments.
Math and Writing Assessment
The ASSET test is a required placement test in the areas of math and writing for all incoming Marylhurst undergraduate students.
Credit by Examination
Marylhurst students also may earn up to 45 credits for their existing learning through various credit by examination programs. College credit earned through recognized credit by examination programs taken elsewhere may be transferred to degree programs at Marylhurst.

Non-credit Outcome Assessments
As part of the Liberal Arts Core requirements, applicable to a Marylhurst bachelor's degree, students must meet specified learning outcomes. Some non-credit outcome assessments are coordinated by the Learning Assessment Center.
