The Renaissance CampaignSince its founding in 1893, Marylhurst has continuously renewed its commitment to service through education, responding to each generation's challenges with innovative and inspired programs. The University's ability to hold firm to timeless strengths while keeping pace with contemporary technology and social changes enable it to create greater access to high quality education for all students. Today, this means focusing on students who pursue an education while juggling work and family responsibilities. This commitment is reflected in the University's stewardship of campus buildings and facilities the focus of the Renaissance Campaign. The campaign supports implementation of a Campus Master Plan that preserves the Universitys historic buildings, harmonizes new structures, improves campus roads and parking and renovates essentials such as heating and cooling systems, expands campus safety and security features and equips classrooms with technologies for dynamic multimedia learning. The Renaissance Campaign is a $20 million project to enhance the quality of education at Marylhurst University by improving the physical assets of the campus while perpetuating the legacy of our Founders, the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. With 90 percent of funds committed, the University's goal is to complete the Campaign by June 30, 2008 to coincide with President Nancy Wilgenbusch's retirement. In Spring 2008 a "Buy A Brick" appeal will be launched giving hundreds of people the opportunity to help see the Renaissance Campaign to a successful conclusion. | |||||||
