Support MarylhurstAs educational needs have changed and evolved, so has Marylhurst. The once small boarding school for women is now a University that attracts students from around the world. When the Sisters of the Holy Names founded Marylhurst University in 1893, they had a grand vision to create an environment for spiritual, intellectual and personal growth and well-being. They chose the curriculum to challenge and inspire; they selected the location for its commanding natural beauty and profound sense of sanctuary. The focus on lifelong learning and meeting the expectations of the adult learner began at Marylhurst in 1974. Today, Marylhurst offers day, evening, weekend and online courses to provide maximum scheduling flexibility for self-directed students of all ages. Technology has enabled students from all corners of the world to complete a degree without ever setting foot on a college campus. The demand for increased accessibility to serve students regardless of age or location is one of the more recent transformations in higher education. In this arena, Marylhurst has been a leader for more than a quarter-century. | |||||||
