University Green Team

The mission of the Marylhurst Green Team (Marylhurst University Sustainability Advisory Council) is in support of the University’s mission to "aid students in advancing their goals for responsible participation in a rapidly changing world"; and to foster University-wide responsibility towards earth stewardship and building sustainable community.
The Marylhurst University Sustainability Advisory Council seeks to:
- encourage, advise and support University-wide implementation of sustainable operational practices;
- act as a liaison among community stakeholders including the University administration regarding sustainability concerns and recommendations;
- gather, maintain and distribute educational resources on sustainability "best practices" for the University community;
- engage the Marylhurst academic community in dialogue around, and encourage integration of, sustainability concepts within the curriculum;
- work to establish the University as a model of sustainable practices.
