SCREENING: The Soldiers Tale (2007), directed by Penny Allen.

The Soldiers Tale reunites Portland underground filmmaker Penny Allen (Property, 1979; Paydirt 1981 and cinematographer Eric Edwards to tell the story of one real life soldiers experience of the war in Iraq, using his own words, and his own video footage.
The Soldier's Tale will be shown in 35mm.
IN PERSON: Oregon National Guardsman Jason Faler will share his own experiences fighting in Iraq. Faler is the founder of Checkpoint One, a foundation dedicated to providing the Iraq citizens who worked as translators for the U.S. troops with the opportunity to relocate to the United States.
