Marylhurst University Day at Mary's Woods

Marylhurst University has enjoyed a partnership with its neighbors at Mary's Woods for nearly ten years. As part of the partnership, Marylhurst and Mary's Woods co-sponsor a variety of events during the year, including Music in the Woods. Events are open to the general public.

Every second Tuesday of the month is Marylhurst Day at Mary's Woods. Free and open to the public.

Voracious Mothers: Craving and Identity in The Tragedy of Dr. Faustus, Measure for Measure, The Duchess of Malfi, and The Magnetic Lady. With Dr. Keri Behre, English Literature & Writing faculty.

Poetry of Place
Simeon Dreyfuss, chair of Marylhurst University undergraduate Department of Interdisciplinary Studies presents a poetry reading centering on the theme of place.

In addition to his responsibilities as chair of the undergraduate interdisciplinary studies program, Dreyfuss also teaches several courses, including Environmental Writing.

Afternoon Presentation:
Voracious Mothers: Craving and Identity in The Tragedy of Dr. Faustus, Measure for Measure, The Duchess of Malfi, and The Magnetic Lady.
In this lecture, Dr. Keri Behre will explore significant themes in works by Christopher Marlowe (1564-1593), William Shakespeare (1564-1616), John Webster (1580-1734), and Ben Jonson (1572-1737). 

Dr. Keri Behre is the Director of English Literature & New Media, a program of the Department of English Literature & Writing at Marylhurst University. Our BA in English Literature & New Media program is a unique, online degree that emphasizes the intersection of literary studies and digital media.
