Networking Opportunities

One of the goals of the Marylhurst University Alumni Association is to "create opportunities for enhancing the intellectual, spiritual, social and professional relationships of its members" — there are many opportunities for alumni to do just that.

Events on campus

We encourage alumni to attend cultural events on campus, such the Summer on the Green series* (includes Shakespeare in the Park performances and summer concerts), Marylhurst Reading series,* fundraising events such as Marylhurst's Annual Dinner and Golf Classic, and the myriad cultural and educational events that occur throughout the year.

*Free and open to the public.

Traveling faculty meet-ups

Our faculty often travel to give presentations at conferences across the country. Faculty meet-ups allow alumni to connect with each other, and also to connect with Marylhurst leaders in the academic field.

Alumni-hosted events

Do you live far away from campus but are still interested in meeting up with alumni in your area? Let us know, and we can help gather contact information for alumni in your area and reach out to them. Although there are no formal chapters at this time, regular meet-ups are encouraged!

We want to provide networking opportunities and events that are valuable and enjoyable for our alumni, and the best way we can do that is to ask. Which kinds of events interest you? Contact us at alumni@marylhurst.edu or 503.534.4059.
