We give thanks for Sister Veronica Ann Baxter (1928-2014), remembered for her innovative leadership of Marylhurst from 1974 to 1984, when the university transitioned to a co-educational college of lifelong learning.
Graduate Admissions Specialist
Maruska received her BA in Social Pedagogy from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia — the university in her hometown. She relocated to Oregon because she met an Oregonian and moved across the world to be with him!
Maruska knows that going back to school or continuing one's education is a huge decision, and she enjoys doing whatever she can to help ease that process for graduate students.
Favorite thing about Portland:The openness to trying new things: making your own clothes, raising chickens, growing food, painting the road...I could go on forever.
Favorite thing about Marylhurst:Marylhurst is an amazing institution with a deep connection to the love of knowledge and service. Its goals of responsible participation and encouragement of competence, leadership and service are close to my heart.
