Dr. Bokowski received a MA in Philosophy and a Ph.D. in Political Science, both from The Ohio State University. She served as chair of the Marylhurst Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies Department from 2000-2011 and was Chair of the Graduate College from 2001 until 2011. Currently, she is Dean of the School of Graduate Studies. She was a member of the Board of the Association of Graduate Liberal Studies Programs from 2006-2009. Recently, she co-edited the association's 2011 publication of Graduate Liberal Studies: A Guidebook for Directors, Faculty and Staff.
Dr. Susan Carter, interim chair of the MA in Interdisciplinary Studies Department, was named vice president of the Pacific Northwest Region of the American Academy of Religion / Society of Biblical Literature in May 2013.
A student, an alum and a faculty member from the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies Department will present at the annual Pacific Northwest American Academy of Religion conference in May 2013.
