About

Shauna is a social worker who has been a child and family therapist and educator in Portland since 1991. She has most recently worked as an educational consultant, providing leadership coaching and professional development for high schools across Oregon. Currently she provides counseling services for De La Salle North Catholic High, and is working to complete a doctoral degree in educational leadership.

In addition to teaching at Marylhurst, Shauna is an adjunct professor at Portland State University's School of Social Work and School of Education. She teaches graduate courses on school community relations, urban schools and social justice. She works collaboratively with schools and social service agencies to plan, implement and evaluate culturally responsive programs that emphasize educational equity, cultural proficiency and trauma informed care.
