Janice recently retired as assistant principal at Wilsonville High School of the West Linn-Wilsonville School District, where she focused on curriculum, instruction and assessment. During her career she taught elementary school, as well as language arts and English at the middle and high school levels. She currently volunteers at a local elementary school in Oregon City.
Janice teaches both M.Ed. and MAT classes at Marylhurst, and supervises novice teachers. She also has taught reading endorsement courses for Marylhurst, continuing education courses for Lewis & Clark College, and workshops throughout the state and nation. She has presented at conferences, and been a grant reader for instructional design and curriculum development proposals for the National Endowment of the Arts.
