About

Gilan is a member of the Education Department faculty where, among her responsibilities, she co-directs the Education Department's mentoring program, which provides professional support to MAT graduates in their first year of teaching. She also works as an educational consultant and contract researcher.  Prior to coming to Marylhurst she worked as an educational leader in a variety of K-12 central office roles related to curriculum, instruction and professional development. Gilan also has extended service as a high school social science and language arts teacher on the Oregon coast and in the Portland area.
