Teacher Leadership

Our teacher leadership program is designed for licensed teachers and professional educators who are interested in developing the knowledge, skills and dispositions needed to influence and improve current systems of education through shared leadership and pedagogical expertise.

Required courses include:
Culturally Proficient Instructional Leadership
Facilitating School Change
Leading Professional Learning Communities Through Teacher Leadership
Roles & Skills in Teacher Leadership
Assessment Literacy
Legal, Ethical & Advocacy Issues in Education
Practicum: Teacher Leadership

Total for the program: 21 credits

At the end of the program, you receive a Certificate of Completion.

Persons considering applying to the teacher leadership program may take 6 credits before admission with the permission of the Department of Education.
