This special one-day workshop focuses on business writing for the 21st century. Gone are the formatting tips for carbon copied memos rendered in triplicate. Instead, this class teaches us how to write for today's business world, where writing is actually more important than ever. Whether you're emailing, prepping slide decks, writing newsletter articles, even writing for social media, you need to understand the fundamentals of good writing. This class focuses squarely on these issues - who are you writing to? What are you trying to tell them? What do you want them to do as a result? And of course, we teach you how to write with clarity, including meaningful punctuation and grammar. By taking this class, you will gain powerful writing insights for any workplace situation.

  • The need for good writing in today's work world
  • Writing for different work contexts
  • Establish the purpose of what you're writing
  • Responsive writing and smart reading
  • Common writing errors to avoid
