This two-day class provides an excellent foundation for anyone looking to apply project management in the workplace. More and more, professionals of all backgrounds must have strong skills in project management. Most of us do pretty well, though usually with little or no formal training in how to plan and execute work, not to mention lead project teams. This class gives you that formal training, so you learn the language and process of managing projects, as well as time-tested tips for avoiding common pitfalls and traps. The class, led by a project management expert, consists of instructor-led presentation and discussion, with a project planning simulation throughout the class where you apply what you're learning.
- The language of project management
- Tools like scheduling, risk management and critical path management
- Strategies for leading project teams and team meetings
- How to become an expert in managing projects of all types
Jeff Crow is a local expert in the project management discipline, having taught for many years in programs around the area, spoken at various project management association and conference events, and as author of several editions of the book on which this class is based, Applying Project Management in the Workplace.
