Ryan teaches green development law and renewable energy law within the sustainable business MBA program at Marylhurst.
He is also an attorney in the Portland, Oregon Intelekia Law Group LLC working with business and government clients on sustainability initiatives and risk management. Ryan helps Oregon homeowners facing foreclosure as part of his firm's "social equity" practice. With a background in architecture and law, he has experience with private law firms, nonprofits, a governmental agency, and the United Nations.
Ryan has presented on green building legal issues, received two national writing awards, and been published on the topic of legitimacy of foreign import restrictions proposed as part of U.S. climate regulation.
