Marylhurst faculty received "excellence and innovation" grants supporting work in business, interior design, art, sustainability and music therapy.
Our Bachelor of Arts in Music is a flexible program, designed to provide you with core music skills while allowing you to explore other music interests.
By integrating a traditional music education with other academic disciplines in a liberal arts setting, you'll develop a greater appreciation of music and a stronger ability to articulate its importance in society. For example, songwriters might choose to explore offerings in literature and writing, composers might take classes in media studies, and entrepreneurs could pursue the 18-credit business and management certificate.

Our BA in Music program will introduce you to the rigors of careers in performance, teaching, composition, church music, conducting, studio musicianship, recording and other music-related fields. The liberal arts component of the degree provides you with a strong multidisciplinary foundation for a lifetime of learning. Graduates have a solid foundation to pursue a master's degree.
