The Marylhurst University Board of Trustees approved a new Master of Arts in Music Therapy degree program in October 2014. Classes start September 2015.
AUDITION DATES FOR FALL 2015 ENTRANCE
For campus auditions
Audition: Saturday, February 21, 2015: 9:00 am-4:00 pm
Applicants must have a completed application on file with the Admissions Office by Feb. 1, 2015.
For distance auditions
Recorded auditions may be submitted to the Music Office--via YouTube link--by Monday, Feb. 17, 2015. Applicants must have a completed application on file with the Admissions Office by Feb. 1, 2015.
When will I be notified of my audition time?
The Department of Music reviews applications the week after the application deadline, and then schedules auditions with qualified candidates. If you are selected, you'll be asked to audition at a specific time on the published audition date. Performance auditions are scheduled by performance area. Interviews are scheduled around the performance audition. Please set aside the whole day in order to participate in the entire process. Those not invited to audition will be notified.

Am I accepted?
The music faculty will make admissions recommendations after the February auditions and assessments/interviews. The department will inform the Office of Admissions of these recommendations, and will inform candidates by mail. Applicants must meet all university requirements before we offer an official acceptance. Students who submit recordings will only be granted a provisional acceptance until other assessments and interviews are completed.
