Explore Marylhurst’s Undergraduate Programs

Graduate Studies Information Meeting at Marylhurst University

Marylhurst to Host Fourth Annual Irish Language Immersion Day

An Irish Language Immersion Day—for fluent speakers and absolute beginners—will introduce the delights of the Irish language during workshops on Saturday, May 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Marylhurst University. MBA Information Sessions at Marylhurst University

Workshop Helps High School Students Prepare for SAT

High school students who plan to take the SAT this spring will learn strategies for taking tests and reducing test-taking anxiety during a four-day SAT workshop Sundays, March 28, April 11, 18, and 25, 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the Marylhurst University campus. Marylhurst University to Hold Career Development Workshops

Two career development workshops will be offered spring term at Marylhurst University: Economic Recovery and the Job Outlook on Tuesday, April 6, and Job Search Success Stories on Tuesday, May 4. Both will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in Marian Hall on the Marylhurst campus. General public $10; free to students and alumni. Melody Owen: So Close to the Glass and Shivering

Two new exhibitions will open at The Art Gym on Sunday, February 21 with a free public reception for the artists from 3 to 5 p.m. The Art Gym’s main space features So Close to the Glass and Shivering by Melody Owen. In Gallery 2, the collaborative Paula Rebsom will present If We Lived Here. Both exhibitions continue through April 9, 2010. Admission is free.

Community Invited to Study Abroad in Europe

Community members are invited to study abroad in Europe next fall with Marylhurst University. The 15-day trip to Berlin, Prague and Vienna is September 5 – 19, 2010. Travelers will explore historical structures, architecture, interiors, art and music on this tour through landmarks of time and culture. Individuals wanting more details may attend an information session this month.

Marylhurst University Hosts Career Seminar for Aspiring Teachers

Aspiring teachers from all of Oregon's college and university education programs are invited to attend a half-day conference to expand classroom skills and gather important job-seeking information on Friday, February 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Marylhurst University. Marylhurst Faculty Promoted to Assistant Dean Positions

New leadership will enhance support for faculty and academic programs. Veteran Marylhurst University faculty members have been elevated to assistant deans as part of a long-term effort to provide additional support to faculty and students, and enhance the many growing programs at this 1,900-student university just south of Lake Oswego.
