The Art Gym Receives OAC Grant
The Oregon Arts Commission announced $1,087,000 in 99 grants to Oregon arts organizations, including a $6,000 grant to The Art Gym.
This grant will support The Art Gym's "critically acclaimed contemporary arts program of exhibitions, publications and public discussions with artists," according to the Commission's press release.
"The Arts Commission is investing in the work of 92 dynamic arts organizations across the state," said Christine D’Arcy, executive director of the Commission. "We expect our grants to be matched with more than $116 million in other funds, supporting hundreds of permanent jobs and providing significant stimulus to the Oregon economy."
The Commission’s Operating Support grants provide funds for the artistic and administrative budgets of Oregon’s leading arts groups. The program recognizes artistic excellence as well as the role that arts organizations take in the broader social, educational and economic areas of community life.
