Sr. Esther Anderson Named OSF Congregational Minister

More than 300 members of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, headquartered in Aston, Penn., gathered for their congregational chapter meeting. The event culminated in the election of a new leadership team that will assume office in September.

Sister Esther Anderson, OSF, was elected congregational minister. Born in Galway, Ireland, she ministers as Executive Director of Operations and Services. She holds a B.A. from Maryhurst University, an M.A. from Lewis and Clark College, an M.A. in Religious Studies from Gonzaga University, and a Ph.D. from Union Institute and University.

The six-person team also includes five newly elected council members: Sister Anne Amati, OSF; Sister Donna Desien; Sister Ruth Goodwin, OSF; Sister Marijane Hresko, OSF; and Sister Annette Marie Lucchese, OSF.
