You are invited to attend the Grand Opening of Marylhurst University's newest feature, the Belluschi Pavilion. These events are free and open to the public.
Those visiting the grand opening will have an opportunity to:
- tour the house and grounds,
- learn about the history of the house and the re-construction project at Marylhurst, and
- enjoy light refreshments.
Originally a Lake Oswego home designed by famed Portland architect Pietro Belluschi, the small home – only 921 square feet – was built in 1951 for residents Art and Lucy Griffith. Over the past year, it was moved from storage and reassembled on the Marylhurst University campus for preservation.
As the Belluschi Pavilion, the building will provide educational opportunities for Marylhurst students and the architectural community, and will be a resource for the community at large.
